Please note, we have made a small adjustment to our calendar. Rather than hosting Back to School Night on August 29, we have shifted and will be hosting the event on August 28. The event time will remain at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
August 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.: Back to School Night
August 29 and 30: 10th-12th Grade Picture Day
August 29: Balfour Cap and Gown Orders
September 15-30: Hispanic Heritage Month
To better control traffic flow in the morning, students must be dropped off and enter through the student parking lot entrance. (Please reference the map below.)
Students will not be let into the East side of the building unless they are with a parent who is checking in. All students must enter on the West side of the building next to the student parking lot.
All DPS schools have switched to a new messaging platform, called Thrillshare by Apptegy! Here’s what you need to know:
All messages will be delivered in families’ preferred languages, as noted in Infinite Campus. If you would like to change the language you are receiving communications in, please update your profile in the Parent Portal.
School communications will now be delivered from noreply@dpsk12.org. Please add this recipient to your contact list or monitor your Spam/Junk folder to ensure you are receiving new communications.
If you “opt-out” of receiving communications at any point during the school year, you will be unsubscribed from all school and District communication and alerts, including emergency communications. For this reason, we highly discourage families from opting out of communications.
Per DPS policy, students in 9th grade or higher can subscribe to receive school messages directly, but their guardians are required to receive the same messages. Communications will not be sent to students only.
Newsletters, like this one, will have a new look. If you have feedback on the design or content, please contact natalie_brigham@dpsk12.net with your feedback.
All students are required to have their student ID out and visible at all times. If your student is returning and has an ID from last year, they can wear that ID until they receive a new ID on August 29 or 30.
Cell phones may not be used in any classrooms unless explicitly approved by the teacher for learning purposes. This includes the use of headphones.
Families can call the Main Office (720-423-4300) if they need to get in touch with their student(s) during the school day.
A big shoutout to our Girls' Volleyball team, which defeated Gateway in four last night. Our Boys' Soccer team lost a tough bout to Bear Creek with a goal in the last seconds of the game.
Our Boys' Football team plays Moffat County at 4:00 p.m. tonight at All-City Field. Come out and support them.
Is your student interested in joining the Cross Country team? If so, please complete the interest form.

In June, Commanders traveled to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand alongside Ms. Radigan! Graduates Alayna Esparza and Sierrah Marshall, senior Dennisse Chavez and junior Ruben Torres-Guevara were on board for two weeks of life-changing travel. In addition to the experience, the group learned about the history and culture of their destinations.
Ms. Radigan will be leading another tour during Summer 2025 to Italy and Greece! Is your student interested in participating? All the details are on this flyer.
