End of Semester Grades

Our Fall 2025 semester formally ended for students on 12/18. Teachers are actively working on updating gradebooks through 1/5/2026. Schoology is the most accurate way to check your students' current grade. JFK will roll all final grades from the semester to students' transcript the week of 1/5, and families can expect report cards the following week. If your student earns Honor Roll or Principal's list for the Fall 2025 semester, they will be invited to Academic Awards on January 22nd.

Update on the English Vacancy

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Dee Horsburgh to JFK! Dr. Horsburgh is a well-rounded educator with experience teaching many levels of English in DPS and abroad. We're excited to welcome her aboard and know our students will be well-served by her deep content knowledge, teaching experience, and joyful approach to learning.

Mrs. Radigann will continue teaching the IB Language and Literature students impacted by Mr. Swartz's vacancy, which allows Dr. Horsburgh's teaching schedule to be inclusive of all 9th graders in English 1. If your student had a mid-year schedule change as a result of this adjustment, they were provided a paper copy of this update by their counselor on 12/18. When Parent and Student Portal updates at the semester, you will also be able to see any adjustments to schedules live through those platforms as well.

S2 Schedule Changes

Sophomores – please remember that Personal Finance and Comprehensive Health are paired together as the graduation required electives, but your classrooms and teachers will change at the semester break. If you were in Mr. Roybal's Personal Finance class in the Fall, you will report to Comprehensive Health (rm. 302) with Mr. Alvis or Mr. Olson for S2. If you were in Mr. Alvis or Mr. Olson's Comprehensive Health class in the Fall, you will report to Personal Finance (rm. 231) with Mr. Roybal for S2. Your Student Portal schedule will reflect this update after break.

All other courses at JFK are designed to be year-long in scope. Counselors will not be making additional changes to student's schedules in January.
