The BESS teacher window is now open until Oct 18th! Please login into Review360 using your dpsk12.org email to begin screening students. Teacher screening is valuable data to your students' success and your school's environment. Teachers will complete screening based on observations and teachers' perception. Teachers should reach out to their building based BESS SAL for questions.

Teaching and Learning

Register NOW for October 10th Professional Learning Day!

October 10th PL Day will consist of SSP-department-led and Principal-led learning from 8:00 am-11:15 am and centrally-delivered professional learning from 12:30 pm-4:00 pm. Details for each session are listed in the October 10th Course Guide for your reference. Please take a moment to review the course guide and register for sessions. Registration closes on October 8th at midnight. As a reminder, you must be registered to receive credit! ! If you are in need of ADA accommodations, please complete the Accommodation Request Form. Requests must be made at least two weeks prior to the scheduled session.  For more information or questions, please email professional_learning@dpsk12.org. 


Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teachers

Multilingual Education

Free Graduate Courses Offered by MLE!

If you are an MLE designated teacher, you are eligible to take up to three courses through the University of Colorado Denver, paid for by the Multilingual Education Department. 

Through this opportunity, you can earn a Graduate Certificate in Teaching for Cultural and Linguistic Diversity while also fulfilling your advanced MLE coursework!  These courses are online, with Zoom sessions.

Completion of Level 1 courses is a prerequisite, and MLE Level 2 teachers are given priority registration. These must be complete or there is a potential to be non-renewed.  Please note that:

  • UCD 5030 is an equivalent to MLE 201, and 

  • UCD 5770 is an equivalent to MLE 202

Higher Education Academics (AP/IB,  CE/DE , AVID)

1. AP Classroom Training Workshop
Time: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Location: Manual High School, Room 303
Audience: AP Teachers and Coordinators
Workshop Focus:
This hands-on session will help participants explore AP Classroom’s features such as progress checks, dashboards, and practice questions. The goal is to integrate these tools into instructional plans to better monitor and address student learning gaps, thereby maximizing student achievement on AP exams.

2. IB Approaches to Teaching & Learning Workshop
Time: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Location: Manual High School, Room 302
Audience: IB Coordinators and Teachers
Workshop Focus:This workshop will focus on implementing IB teaching approaches like inquiry-based learning and differentiation. Participants will design activities that enhance students' Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and foster critical skills such as thinking, communication, and self-management
