Dear Hawks Community,

It was great to see so many of you at Meet N Greet yesterday! Did you notice our new paint on the blacktops? 40 Denver Public Schools Foundation volunteers freshened up our blacktops and helped prepare our classrooms. We're so grateful for their work getting Hallett ready for our Hawks on Monday!

The first day of school is Monday, August 18. (ECE will start Tuesday, August 19.) Please make sure your child is registered for the 2025-26 school year, and don't forget to fill out the free and reduced lunch form.

We will be continuing our tradition of the first day of school parade on Monday. We want as many parents as possible to participate, so join us at 8:50 a.m. with signs, bubbles and noisemakers to send our Hawks off into learning with a celebration!

We'll see you Monday!

Warmly,

Ms. D, Principal

First Day of School Parade

We're continuing our tradition of a first day of school parade on August 18th! Join us to celebrate the start of the 2025-26 school year at 8:50 a.m. Parents will drop off students on the blacktop and then find a spot around the perimeter of Hallett to cheer for students as they parade around the building before heading inside for their first day of learning.

Feel free to bring bubbles, noisemakers and posters! Please make sure that the messaging on posters is general and can be applied to all students (for example, instead of writing your child's name, write "Hallett Hawks"). We want to celebrate all our students!

For safety and to help students settle into a routine from day one, no adults will be permitted inside the building. Make sure to wave goodbye to your child at the door as they head inside to begin learning promptly at 9 a.m.!
