From the Desk of Ms. D

Dear Hawks Community,

I hope you all had a restful Spring Break! It is great to be back at Hallett for the final stretch of the school year. We have had a busy week back so far with CMAS testing and College Week. Congratulations to our 3rd-5th graders for testing their best - and thank you, parents, for getting your Hawks to school on time and well-rested for their tests! I'm looking forward to closing out the busy week with Discovery Link's Art Gala tomorrow, April 10th from 4:30-6 p.m. Join us dressed up in business casual attire for some finger food, crafts, and displays of our students' art!

Finally, I want to shout out our talented Hawks who performed in "Hallett's Got Talent" right before break. You all amaze me!

Warmly,

Ms. D, Principal

Calling all Hallett families! We're hosting a parent meeting on Thursday, April 23 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Join us to connect with other families and learn about awesome resources at Hallett. We'll have guests from our Community Hub, after school programs, and Black Parent Network. This is a great chance to learn about what Hallett offers and how to get involved in our school!

Refreshments will be provided. Students are welcome to attend the meeting or play on the playground with parent permission.

📣 ECE ONLY - Upcoming No School Day on April 17

ECE families ONLY: save the date! There is no school for ECE on Friday, April 17. There will still be school for all other students on April 17.

📷 Save the Date: Continuation Pictures April 22

At Hallett, we have a longstanding tradition of taking cap and gown photos of our continuing students (ECE, Kinder, and 5th) to hand out to parents with their continuation certificates. This year, we will be taking photos on Wednesday, April 22. Help your student be photo-ready, whatever that means to you and your Hawk!

💚 CMAS is Happening!

Our 3rd-5th graders just finished their first week of CMAS tests - well done! Testing will continue for the next two weeks, so please make sure your student is on time to school, well-rested, and has had a nutritious breakfast. Let's go, Hawks!

We'll be celebrating our 3rd-5th graders who are on time and present every day at the end of each week of CMAS testing. This Friday, our celebration will be a popcorn party!

💌 Share Your Appreciation With Our Hallett Educators!

Appreciation days are coming up! Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8, and Principal Appreciation Day is Friday, May 1. Want to show Ms. D and our teachers some love? Drop off your token of appreciation starting the week of April 27 to Ms. Yvonne and she'll make sure the right educator gets it!

🧥 Lost and Found on Fridays

It's that time of year! The weather is warming and students have left behind their layers. Our Lost and Found is overflowing with jackets and sweatshirts! Every Friday, will put lost items out on the playground at the end of the day. Please stop by after picking up your student and reclaim what they've left behind!
