From the Desk of Ms. D

Dear Hawks Community,

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Last week at Hallett, we celebrated Earth Day with visits from SustainEd Farms (You can read more about SustainEd Farms and their work at Hallett here). Our Hawks spent time in our community garden planting veggies and making a high protein, delicious pea dip!

Portrait Pals was also at Hallett this week! For those who don't know, we have been partnering with The Kindness Empire to host Portrait Pals for the past 10 years. Portrait Pals works like this: 3rd graders are paired with elders living in a residential home, and they create portraits of each other. Our students had a great time working on their portraits.

Finally, thank you to everyone who joined us for our Parent Meeting last Thursday!

Let's have another great week this week!

Warmly,

Ms. D, Principal
