|
Dear Hawks Community,
We made it to Spring Break! There is NO SCHOOL Monday, March 30 through Monday, April 6 (the 6th is a Hallett non-contact day). We will see you back at Hallett on Tuesday, April 7. I hope you all have a restful break and enjoy the time off! If you are in need of food over the break, check out Tasty Food Denver for free meals for youth ages 3-18.
And don't forget about what's coming up when we're back from Spring Break - CMAS testing and college week! I've included more details about both below.
Finally, thank you all for making our last week before break a great one. Congratulations to our all our Talented Hawks who performed in our Talent Show, and thank you to everyone who joined us for Discovery Link's mindfulness session! See you soon, Hallett.
Wishing you all a great week off,
Ms. D, Principal

👓 Vision, Hearing and Dental Screenings After Spring Break
|
We will have visitors at Hallett on April 7-9; they will be conducting vision, hearing and dental screenings for our students. 💚 Celebrate our CMAS Test-Takers With Notes of Encouragement and By Wearing Green on April 7 |
3rd-5th grade will be taking Colorado standardized tests during the first three weeks of April. CMAS tests measure students' academic progress in English language arts, math, social studies and science. Even if you don't have a 3rd-5th grade student, we would appreciate your help in cheering on our Hawks for their tests!
We will have note stations set up at Hallett events and during drop off and pick up. We invite every parent to take a moment to visit the station and write some words of encouragement on a notecard. (Your note could be as simple as, "You got this!") Teachers will read some notes out loud to their students every day before testing begins to show them we support them!
We will also have a pep rally to cheer on our test takers on Tuesday, April 7 at 3 p.m. Families are invited, and we're asking all students and families to wear green to celebrate our goal of achieving green test scores! (Green scores means we are meeting expectations.)
