From the Desk of Ms. D

Dear Hawks Community,

As we gear up for Spring Break, we have several fun events coming up: our Talent Show on March 26 and our Staff V. Students Kickball game on March 27! We hope you'll join us for both events to cheer on our Hawks. As a reminder, Spring Break is Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3. We also have NO SCHOOL on Monday, April 6; it is a Hallett non-contact day.

We also have a lot coming up when we're back from Spring Break - CMAS testing and college week. It's the final busy stretch of the school year, so let's finish strong! Please make sure your student is on time and ready to learn every day.

Warmly,

Ms. D, Principal

⚽ Join Us! Student V. Staff Kickball Game

🎤 March 26: Hallett's Got Talent!

ALL students are invited to come showcase their talents on Thursday, March 26 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Hallett Talent Show! Instead of auditions, performers will have scheduled rehearsal times during the school day with Ms. McGrew in the weeks leading up to the show. If your student is interested in performing, please have them pick up a Talent Show form from the music room and return it with a guardian signature.

Want to volunteer to help? We could use extra hands to decorate the auditorium, and we might even need an MC to introduce the students during the show! If you're interested, email Ms. McGrew at tina_mcgrew@dpsk12.net.

❤️ Celebrate our CMAS Test-Takers With Notes of Encouragement!

3rd-5th grade will be taking Colorado standardized tests during the first three weeks of April. CMAS tests measure students' academic progress in English language arts, math, social studies and science. Even if you don't have a 3rd-5th grade student, we would appreciate your help in cheering on our Hawks for their tests!

We will have note stations set up at Hallett events and during drop off and pick up. We invite every parent to take a moment to visit the station and write some words of encouragement on a notecard. (Your note could be as simple as, "You got this!") Teachers will read some notes out loud to their students every day before testing begins to show them we support them!
