5/30 Community Updates

Hallett student smiling on the slip n slide

From the Desk of Ms. D

Dear Hawks Community,

Wow! We made it through the 2024-25 school year! We have just 2.5 more days of school - today, Monday and a half-day Tuesday. (That's right - students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3rd.)

I had a wonderful first year with you all and I look forward to the years to come! Thank you, families, for all that you've done to make this year successful. Your students have grown academically and socio-emotionally, and it takes a village to get there. Thank YOU, and of course, thank you to the amazing Hallett educators for supporting our Hawks' growth.

To our 5th graders: you will be missed! You have been an integral part of our school for years, and Hallett will feel different without you next year. But we are so excited to see where you go next. Always remember that you can do hard things.

To the rest of our students: we can't wait to see you next year! The 2025-26 school year starts on August 18. We will have our Meet N Greet the Thursday before on August 14, where you'll be able to meet your child's teacher and drop off school supplies. Then, we will have Back to School Night on September 11.

Have a safe and wonderful summer, Hawks. Don't forget to read! And if you're traveling this summer, visit a college or two along the journey!

Warmly,

Ms. D

Last Call for Lost and Found

Lost and found items will be outside during Fun N Da Sun and on the last day of school! Whatever is not picked up by the last day of school will be donated. Come make sure your child isn't missing anything!

Summer Communication

This is our final newsletter for this school year! But don't worry, we'll be in touch over the summer.

In our latest Possip survey, we heard that your preferred method of communication over the summer is text. We will be sure to send text reminders about important upcoming dates and deadlines for next year. We'll also send an occasional email with more details like school supplies lists and registration info. You'll hear from us less often than during the school year - but you'll still be kept in the loop.

We'll still use Possip occasionally over the summer as well. We'll ask you some bigger picture questions about what you're hoping for from Hallett next year. We really appreciate your feedback!

Summer Resources

In a recent Possip survey, we heard that many of you are interested in resources for the summer. Our Community Hub is compiling a full list of resources that we will send out once it's ready.
