Dear East High School Families,
We’re thrilled to announce the districtwide rollout of CrisisGO, an advanced safety platform that will redefine how we approach school safety, emergency preparedness and daily operational security. This innovative platform is designed around the needs and feedback of our parents, students and staff, making it a tool that truly serves our community.
Why CrisisGO?
Through listening sessions, surveys, focus groups and a thorough RFP process, your input has been instrumental in helping us select and tailor this platform. Here are some of the key benefits that make CrisisGO a valuable addition:
Real-Time Alerts and Updates: CrisisGO provides instant alerts during emergencies, keeping staff, students and also families informed and empowered to respond quickly.
User-Friendly Access: With a mobile-friendly app, CrisisGO allows staff to report incidents, access critical information and monitor situations in real time.
Customizable Safety Protocols: Built with community feedback in mind, CrisisGO reflects districtwide safety priorities and Standard Response Protocols, ensuring effective responses that are both familiar and streamlined.
Enhanced Coordination and Compliance: CrisisGO enables seamless districtwide adherence to safety protocols, uniting our efforts in a single, comprehensive platform.
Transition from RedBag to CrisisGO
To ensure a smooth transition, we will be sunsetting our use of RedBag in January. This shift will allow our district to focus on a unified, districtwide crisis management solution, reducing the potential for error and increasing our overall efficiency. All safety information, reporting and emergency procedures will move to CrisisGO, which we believe will better serve East’s and our entire district’s safety needs.
Rollout Timeline
We recognize the importance of supporting families and staff during this transition. Here’s how we’re preparing to make this transition seamless for everyone involved:
Nov. 7: Coffee with the Principal event to provide an open forum for CrisisGO questions with the DPS Department of Climate and Safety Leadership team.
Week of Dec. 2: Meet and Greet event to share updates and answer questions with the Department of Climate and Safety Leadership team.
Jan. 6: Complete transition to CrisisGO, with RedBag fully retired from district operations.
This transition underscores our commitment to safety and security by adopting the most effective tools available. We’re excited to take this step with you and to build a safer future for our students and staff. Look for upcoming communications on participating in informational sessions to learn more about CrisisGo.
Thank you for being a critical part of our mission to create and maintain a safer and more welcoming environment.
In partnership,
Greg Cazzell
