Doughnuts with Dr. Davis
Join our Principal, Dr. Davis, for casual conversation and school updates during Doughnuts with Dr. Davis on Friday, November 7 from 8:00 to 8:30am in the GWHS Community Room. Dr. Davis would love to answer your questions and hear your thoughts about our GWHS community. Dr. Davis will host a Doughnuts with Dr. Davis event the last Friday morning of every month,* so be sure to watch the Weekly Roundup for reminders. *The October and November Doughnuts with Dr. Davis events have been moved a week later due to school closures.
HKCS Survey
The Healthy Kids Colorado Survey ("HKCS") will be held at GWHS on Thursday, November 20. Questions will take less than one class period to complete. Responses to the HKCS are anonymous and serve to inform the State of Colorado on programs and policies that help youth thrive. Additional information regarding HKCS may be found in this LETTER.
Students are not required to take the HKCS. To opt-out your student, please complete this FORM. If you wish to give your student permission to participate, no action is needed. Questions? Please refer to the HKCS FAQs.

Fall Mixer - Continued Opportunity to Engage and Support
To all the parents and community members who attended our annual Fall Mixer and Fundraiser, thank you! We were thrilled to see such a vibrant turnout and hope you had a wonderful evening connecting with new families, catching up with old friends, and learning about exciting new ways to get involved and support our students. We want to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who donated—your generosity is the bedrock of our school’s programs.
However, in the spirit of transparency and commitment to our students, we must let you know that we unfortunately fell short of our fundraising goal. The funds raised are vital for teacher appreciation, food pantry, After Prom, teacher/classroom grants, and more! Closing this gap is critical.
If you weren’t able to attend and/or contribute during the Mixer, or if you would like to help us cross the finish line, there is still time to make a difference! Please consider making a gift today to ensure we can fully support our students' success throughout the year. You can donate quickly and securely HERE. Thank you again for your commitment to our community!
URGENT CALL TO ACTION: Support the GWHS Food Pantry
Thanks to the unwavering support of our generous donors and our strong partnership with the Food Bank of the Rockies, the GWHS Food Pantry remains a vital resource, providing weekly access to nutritious food for community members facing food insecurity. We are currently serving approximately 100 local families every week. However, with the recent changes to SNAP benefits beginning November 1, we are projecting a significant increase in the number of our students and staff who will urgently need the pantry's support in the coming weeks.
DOUBLE Your Impact: $10,000 Matching Opportunity!
As we enter this Thanksgiving season, we have been given an extraordinary gift! A generous anonymous donor has offered a $10,000 Matching Opportunity to ensure no family in our community goes hungry. Every dollar you donate will be doubled until we reach our goal! We have already secured approximately $4,000 of the available match. Help us capture the remaining $6,000 and provide $12,000 in vital resources! There are two immediate ways you can make a difference:
Thank you for helping us nourish our community during this critical time!
