Dear Patriot Community,
As you may have heard, DPS Superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero has decided, based on staff absences, many DPS schools will be closed to students on Thursday, March 20. GWHS is one of those schools. We will not hold any classes tomorrow, and remaining staff will have a no-student contact work day.
Athletics will operate after school hours on their regular schedule.
As we wrote yesterday, Thursday, March 20 is the Colorado Education Association Day of Action, in which public school staff and education advocates statewide will gather at the state capital to encourage legislators to not cut education funding.
HERE is a list of schools within DPS that will remain open on Thursday, March 20.
We look forward to welcoming our Patriots back to school on Friday, March 21. As a reminder, we will operate on a normal 7-period Friday schedule.
