📢 Announcement: Access or Donate to Local Food Resources

Dear DPS Community,

Due to the ongoing government shutdown, November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will not be disbursed, impacting more than 100,000 Denver residents, half of whom are children. Now more than ever, it is critical that we come together to support one another and ensure our children don’t go hungry.

As a reminder, our school meals at DPS will not be impacted. School breakfast and lunches will continue as normal and remain free to families.

Read the DPS community communication with the full list of food resources here, and visit the FACE Resources Page for additional family supports.

Transportation’s New Safety App

DPS Transportation has adapted a new app called My Ride K-12 which provides a new level of student safety. With this app, parents can view route information, receive bus notifications and view where their students scanned on and off our buses.

These exciting new features require us to make scanning on and off our buses mandatory and students must have a QR code on their phone or printed ID. These QR codes are also available on Parent Portal and at schools.

Questions can be sent to transportation@dpsk12.org
