This is a reminder about our upcoming Healthy Choices Family Session on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 6–7 p.m. on Zoom. If you already registered, the Zoom link was sent to your email. If you did not receive it, you may re-register or contact Jasmin Rigby by email to get the access code.
The first 100 families who participate in the entire session will receive a $25 King Soopers gift card! You can log in up to 10 minutes before the event. Complete the closing poll at the end of the zoom session to verify you attended the entire session. Families must have a local address or connection to Denver Public Schools (unless otherwise specified).

DPS NNE Community Hub winter coat distribution
In October 2025, our Community Hub worked with Ashley Elementary, Montclair School of Academics, and Smith Elementary to support families before winter. We hosted three coat distribution events and provided warm coats to 238 students from 158 families. At each site, families also received information about Community Hub services for continued support.

SchoolChoice and Parent Portal Workshops |

Learn how to complete the DPS SchoolChoice application and use the Parent Portal. These free workshops give families a simple, step-by-step guide and show how to check school placements and update contact information.

Elevate Hub: Walk-In Help for Families |
Families experiencing housing challenges can visit Elevate Hub in Westwood to connect with support and resources. This walk-in center serves all Denver areas, with a focus on the Southwest community.
Families can meet privately with a staff member, no names or personal information required. They can also text discreetly to receive help. Elevate Hub is not a call center—staff meet with families, listen, and create a plan together.
Evening and Saturday hours are available for convenience.

Holidays en Comunidad – December 18 |
Families are invited to the Holidays en Comunidad event on Dec. 18. The event offers food baskets, local resources, winter gear, and toys for children. Items are free while supplies last. To receive a toy, a child must be present, or you may bring a school ID or birth certificate.
The event runs from 9 a.m. until supplies last at 3131 W. 14th Ave., Denver, CO.

Statewide IHAC Convening: Protecting Health Equity for Immigrant & Refugee Communities |
Join the Immigrant Health Access Collaborative (IHAC) on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, for a statewide convening focused on protecting and improving health access for immigrant and refugee communities in Colorado. Leaders from healthcare, nonprofits, education, and community organizations will come together to share updates and solutions.
The event will include a key session on Cover All Coloradans (CAC) and HB 22-1289, which offer limited healthcare benefits for eligible children and pregnant people, regardless of immigration status.
