🎉Family Liaison Appreciation Breakfast🎉
Last week, we had the joy of celebrating our incredible Family Liaisons at our annual Appreciation Breakfast! It was a lovely morning filled with connection, gratitude, and well-deserved recognition for our dedicated liaisons who strengthen the bridge between our schools, students, and families every single day.
Thank you to each of our liaisons for the heart, commitment, and creativity you bring to your work. Your impact is felt across the district - through the trusting relationships you build, the support you provide, and the countless ways you uplift our school communities. We appreciate you today and every day!💛

Family Engagement Tip: Centering Family Voice During the Holiday Season
The holiday season looks different for every family. Create space to honor the diverse traditions and experiences within your school community by inviting families to share what this time of year means to them.
Elementary: Have families share a photo, story, or short description of a meaningful tradition - holiday-related or not - to highlight in class or on a community board.
Middle School: Host a simple “Culture & Traditions” showcase where families can contribute in person or virtually with food, art, music, or a short message.
High School: Incorporate family voices into advisory or community circles by inviting families to share reflections on traditions, gratitude, or what brings connection during this season.
✨By intentionally honoring the many ways families experience the holiday season, schools can create a more inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone feels seen and valued.✨

DPS Foundation Food Security Fund |
With the delay of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for the month of November and with the holiday season approaching, many families are facing extra hardship right now. For those able to support their peers and community, please donate to our Food Security Fund to ensure every Denver Public Schools student and family has access to the meals they need this season.
The DPS Foundation Food Security Fund directly funds:
-Families and schools, including schools with their own food pantries.
-The DPS Community Hubs food pantries. The Hubs are the district's six centers that provide wrap-around services to families in need.
