Do You Know a Family in Need of Shelter?

Providers can now directly refer families in need of shelter to the Salvation Army Connections Center, replacing the previous hotline system that was often challenging during crises.

Referred families are quickly connected with a case manager for support with benefits, housing, employment, and resources while on the waitlist. The Center has also expanded partnerships with transitional housing programs and shelters to increase placement opportunities.

Referral Instructions:

• Complete one referral form per household member.

• Email forms (with family’s ROI consent) to Leo.Miranda@usw.salvationarmy.org and Logan.Ray@usw.salvationarmy.org.

• Families must check in weekly at 303-295-3366 or theconnectioncenter@usw.salvationarmy.org to stay eligible.

• Placement depends on family size, situation, and shelter availability.

Join this FACE event that will include family workshops, book giveaways, student poets and performers, as well as free lunch!

Gifted & Talented Family Series 2025-2026

Our Gifted/Talented department is hosting monthly events with interpretation for families as part of our DPS GT Department Family Series.  We want to make sure overlooked students get identified and their talents are developed. Along the way, it's important to support their unique stresses and social emotional needs. 

Tuesday, October 7, 5-6:15 on Zoom, the G/T department will share about equitable Gifted identification pathways. We want to be sure no talented student is overlooked!
