Dear Team DPS,
Those with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status who have an expiry date at any point in 2025, may look into renewing as soon as possible, regardless of how far in the year their expiry date may be.
Juntos Community is a community organization that is available to support staff with DACA renewals. Juntos Community is hosting one-hour, in-person renewal workshops for DPS staff on Thursday, Jan. 16, and Friday, Jan. 17, from 4-8 p.m. both days. Visit juntosco.typeform.com/DPSClinic to register and secure an appointment.
Location: Juntos Community Headquarters, 3840 N. York St, Denver, CO 80205.
What to Bring: While Juntos Community will have laptops available, participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops to the session. A list of documents to bring will be sent after individuals register.
Registration Deposit: A $25 deposit is required to reserve a spot. This deposit will be refunded upon attendance to ensure commitment and participation.
Renewal Fees: Income-eligible individuals will receive a $555 grant to cover the renewal fee. As an added benefit to DPS employees, Juntos Community has also generously offered to waive the $125 service fee for each DPS team member who renews via their services.
For staff who may need more help, Juntos Community also offers 1:1 support on Fridays and Saturdays. To learn more about getting 1:1 support, visit the Juntos Community website.
Sincerely,
Edwin Hudson
