Teacher Appreciation Week: Reminder for Student Submissions
Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner, taking place May 5-9! In celebration, DPS invites our students to recognize their favorite teachers by sharing what they love most about them.
Please share this opportunity with students and ask them to share why they love their teachers by completing this short form by Friday, April 18. Submissions may be featured on the DPS website and DPS social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
This month, we are focusing on Prom Safety for senior parents.
Come learn how to help your child have a safe and fun prom experience. Lauren Nichols, our Prevention and Therapeutic Specialist (known fondly by the children as the Drug Lady), will be our special guest this month. Lauren will discuss current trends in substance use, how to talk to your child about expectations for prom, and help you understand East expectations for Prom, as well as After Prom.
RSVP HERE to join us May 1st at 7:15am.
Dear East Angels Families,
Did you know that East High School is about to reach a monumental milestone? This September, we will celebrate East's 150th anniversary—and the 100th anniversary of our beautiful building! It's a momentous occasion, and we’re excited to celebrate all things East High School.
From now until Homecoming, we’ll be honoring our incredible history and supporting East’s bright future—and we want you to be a part of it! To kick off the 150th celebration, we’ve created a dedicated website where you can find all the details about our upcoming activities.
Visit our 150th Anniversary Website to stay updated on news and sign up for emails about the celebration. Make sure to follow us on Social Media as well!
A huge thank you to our 150th Celebration Chairs, Matthew Fulford (Teacher) and Marcia Goldstein (Class of 1969), and to the entire committee for their dedication in making this celebration possible.
Please check out our website: https://eastangelfoundation.org/support/ehs-150th-anniversary/#the-celebration and share it with the community—let’s make this a year to remember!
Sincerely,
Kwame Spearman

Seniors - Important Information
Please make sure you are regularly checking the Senior Hub for important dates and deadlines, and information about graduation and required steps.
Please verify that you have completed your ICAP - this is a graduation requirement and you will NOT be able to checkout or receive graduation tickets unless this is completed.
Senior Pass/Fail Day – May 6th
On May 6th, each senior will have a P or F posted to their Infinite Campus gradebook (under the 4th 9 weeks) in each class. If a student earns a P, that means they have passed the class. Please be aware that a student’s percentage and letter grade can still change, but not their passing status for graduation. If your student earns a F, they have until noon on the 13th to work with their teacher and bring this grade up or they cannot attend checkout and they will not be in alphabetical order.
If your student has not met all graduation requirements and check out criteria by May 16th at 4:00pm, they cannot walk with their class in graduation.
This is also the due date for BYU final transcripts, concurrent enrollment passing verification and Edgenuity course completion.
Senior Checkout is May 14th at 8:30am.
Please note that if you HAVE NOT met ALL requirements on the checklist to attend checkout, you WILL NOT be in alphabetical order at Graduation. If requirements are not met by May 16th at 4pm you WILL NOT be able to walk at Graduation with your class!
Graduation tickets will be handed out at that time.
Each senior will receive 7 tickets.
If families are in need of more tickets there will be an opportunity to pick them up at the end of rehearsal on May 19th.
Students MUST bring their pink tech return ticket to checkout to complete the process. (See the checklist or the hub for more information on Tech Return)
