Dora Moore Winter Carnival February, 19th 4:15 - 6:15 FREE to attend ~ FUN for the whole family ~ FREE dinner

1. The Winter Carnival is back for the 3rd year in a row! Please join us at this free family fun event! Thank you to everyone who signed up to volunteer and/or bring treats!  This is sure to be another wonderful community event!

This is an afterschool event where all students are required to be supervised by a parent or guardian. Many of our staff are volunteering to pull this event off, but they are not 'on-duty' during this event.

If you are planning on attending, all carnival attendees must enter through the front main doors at 4:15pm. This means, you will need to walk around to the front of the school from the playground to get inside. Additionally, the carnival activities will be located on the first floor while dinner will be served in the cafeteria (on our new table btw!). Please keep yourselves to those two locations to support our facilities team in their cleaning efforts.

2. All Thursday after school clubs are cancelled this week to make space for our carnival. Please make arrangements!

3. And--Look below! A limited amount of adult-sized Dora Moore swag will be available for purchase at the carnival through the PTSA.

Social Emotional Learning Question of the Week

One of our goals this year is to increase building-wide alignment of our weekly social emotional learning lessons, content, and economy of language. With that being said, we have a "SEL Question of the Week" that we discuss in our morning meetings and always aligns to monthly focus. Ms. Watson creates a weekly video to launch the week as well.

Please ask your students about these questions and about the conversations they are having at school!

February's Focus: Community

Week 1: Why is it important to learn about people's stories that might be different than us?

Week 2: What is a role model? Who are some of the most important Black role models in our history?

4th/5th ELCSports Basketball Schedule

Come support our Dora Moore Eagles February, March and April! All games will be hosted in our gym. Access and entrance will be through Door #4 off of Downing Street after school.

See you there!

Lost and Found is BUSTING AT THE SEAMS; Claim Your Belongings Before & After School
