Hello Ravens,
We made it to spring break! We hope you have a wonderful relaxing time and enjoy the time away. When we return, we will celebrate Denver South's 100 year!
On Friday, April 10th we will have a modified schedule (see below) to celebrate with current students and staff of South High. On Saturday, April 11th we open our doors to the entire South community--past, present and future! See the promotional flyer (below, created by South graphic design students) that are being distributed throughout the community. This event is FREE for all to attend and we hope to see you there!

April 14: Juniors will take the SAT.

We are looking for more Industry Advisory Council members for our CTE pathways. We are looking for individuals in business, health science, food industry, digital media, photography or any general career.

We need professionals to collaborate with our teachers and our students in our Career and Technical Education classes to ensure our students are prepared for the workforce when they leave school here. South High School has called 1700 E Louisiana Avenue HOME for the last 100 years and it's time to celebrate!
We have TWO days of events planned:
On Friday, April 10th we will have a modified schedule to celebrate with the current students and staff of South High.
This FREE event will happen Saturday, April 11 from 10am-3pm inside and around South High School. The day will feature speakers, tours, food trucks, vendors, an alumni decades presentation, alumni museum, clocktower tours, student performances and more!

Giving Grocery
The Denver South Giving Grocery provides FREE, fresh, and healthy groceries, including meat, eggs, milk, produce, and bread, to South students every Thursday. There is no need to sign up in advance. All students may just come to Room 141A after school on a Thursday. Check out our website or follow us on Instagram for more information.

South's BIG Birthday Needs YOU!
Help us plan South's 100Yr celebration. This 2-day celebration (April 10/11) needs pre-event planners
and day-of workers.
Friday, April 10th will be a pep-rally for the students and Saturday, April 11th will be a community day at the school, featuring speakers, tours, vendors and more.

Help Lead the Fun: Auction Co-Chairs Needed!
The South Auction is scheduled for Friday, November 13th, 2026 at the Space Gallery. Our school auction is one of the most exciting and important community events of the year—and we’re looking for two enthusiastic volunteers to serve as Co-Chairs for the upcoming auction! Last year's Co-Chairs are available for some support.
What Do Auction Co-Chairs Do?
Auction Co-Chairs help guide the planning process and keep everything moving forward. The role is collaborative and supported by a team of committee members and volunteers.
Responsibilities typically include:
* Helping set the vision and theme for the auction
* Coordinating with volunteer committees
* Assisting with procurement of auction items and experiences
* Supporting event logistics and planning
* Working with school leadership and the auction team
* Celebrating the event’s success on auction night!
The role is shared between two Co-Chairs, making it manageable and a great opportunity to partner with another community member.
