South's 100-Year Birthday Party is happening SOON! |

South High School has called 1700 E Louisiana Avenue HOME for the last 100 years and it's time to celebrate! We have TWO days of events planned: On Friday, April 10th we will have a modified schedule to celebrate with the current students and staff of South High.
This FREE event will happen Saturday, April 11 from 10am-3pm inside and around South High School. The day will feature speakers, tours, food trucks, vendors, an alumni decades presentation, alumni museum, clocktower tours, student performances and more!

South MSA and DSST Cedar Iftar Night |
Iftar is the evening meal eaten by Muslims to break their daily fast at sunset during the holy month of Ramadan. Observed daily, it marks the end of fasting from dawn until sunset. The meal often begins with dates and water, following tradition, and is a significant social occasion shared with family, friends, or community.
Denver South Muslim Student Alliance organized with the DSST Cedar MSA to bring our communities together and enjoy a delicious meal! |

Giving Grocery
The Denver South Giving Grocery provides FREE, fresh, and healthy groceries, including meat, eggs, milk, produce, and bread, to South students every Thursday. There is no need to sign up in advance. All students may just come to Room 141A after school on a Thursday. Check out our website or follow us on Instagram for more information.

South's BIG Birthday Needs YOU! Help us plan South's 100Yr celebration. This 2-day celebration (April 10/11) needs pre-event planners
and day-of workers. Friday, April 10th will be a pep-rally for the students and Saturday, April 11th will be a community day at the school, featuring speakers, tours, vendors and more. Help Lead the Fun: Auction Co-Chairs Needed!
The South Auction is scheduled for Friday, November 13th, 2026 at the Space Gallery. Our school auction is one of the most exciting and important community events of the year—and we’re looking for two enthusiastic volunteers to serve as Co-Chairs for the upcoming auction! Last year's Co-Chairs are available for some support.
What Do Auction Co-Chairs Do?
Auction Co-Chairs help guide the planning process and keep everything moving forward. The role is collaborative and supported by a team of committee members and volunteers.
Responsibilities typically include:
* Helping set the vision and theme for the auction
* Coordinating with volunteer committees
* Assisting with procurement of auction items and experiences
* Supporting event logistics and planning
* Working with school leadership and the auction team
* Celebrating the event’s success on auction night!
The role is shared between two Co-Chairs, making it manageable and a great opportunity to partner with another community member.
