As we head into the holiday season, we recognize that this time of year can be both joyful and challenging for our families. While some may experience rest and celebration, others may face increased financial stress, food insecurity, housing instability and emotional strain. As we prepare for the upcoming holiday break, we want to ensure that families have easy access to all winter resources available through the district. The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Department has compiled resources listed below.
The following resources are available for students, families and staff:
Student and Family Resources (food, clothing, heating support and mental health resources).
Community Hubs Resources (classes, workshops and workforce development).

On Tuesday, January 27th, only students who need to take the ACCESS test and students with a D or an F in one or more classes will report to school; all other students will have a release day.
Students required to take the ACCESS test will be sent individual communication via email. Students taking the ACCESS need to bring their school-provided Chromebook and charger for testing.
Students with a D or an F in one or more classes should report to library 200 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am on January 27th to attend tutoring

Giving Grocery will resume on January 8th
The Denver South Giving Grocery provides FREE, fresh, and healthy groceries, including meat, eggs, milk, produce, and bread, to South students every Thursday. There is no need to sign up in advance. All students may just come to Room 141A after school on a Thursday. Check out our website or follow us on Instagram for more information.
