Happy Halloween! We had a busy week of fun and games. Congratulations to Volleyball, Boys Soccer, and Football for securing wins this week and our student section for bringing all the spirit!

Next week come out and support our theater students and attend the play called "Radium Girls" Opening night will be November 7th at 7pm

Healthy Kids Survey

The Healthy Kids Colorado Survey (HKCS) will be given to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students during Seminar on November 6th. Questions will take one class period to complete. Responses to the survey are anonymous and serve to inform the state on programs and policies that help youth thrive.

Students are not required to take the survey. To opt your student out of taking the survey, please contact Natalie Blake by November 3rd. If you wish to give your child permission to participate, no action is needed at this time.

Dear South Families,

DSF shared a great opportunity for families.  This is open to ALL DPS families, even if you do not have a dedicated future center at your school. Please share with your communities. 

In November, DSF will kick off Families Fuel Futures, a webinar series for 9th–11th grade families to learn how to support students in aligning their dreams with postsecondary goals. The attached flyers include registration links and they are listed below as well. There is no registration deadline but the sooner the better for students to sign up as we will make reminder phone calls for all registrants.

Senior Parking Spots

Senior reserved parking spots are now available for $50, with proceeds supporting the Senior Class! Due to the parking lots warranty, students are not allowed to paint spots this year. The parking reservation form will be sent out on Monday, November 3rd at 8:00 am via Schoology and email. You will receive an email confirmation by the end of that day if you secure a spot. The payment deadline is Wednesday, November 5th, at 4:00 pm. If we do not receive the payment on time, students will forfeit their parking spot, and we will assign it to someone on the waitlist. Assigned spots will take effect starting Monday, November 10th. For the latest updates and information, please check the senior class Instagram account. 

2026 Graduation Day has been confirmed!

The Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will be on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM at DU's Magness Arena.

The Denver South Giving Grocery provides FREE, fresh, and healthy groceries, including meat, eggs, milk, produce, and bread, to South students every Thursday. There is no need to sign up in advance. All students may just come to Room 141A after school on a Thursday. Check out our website or follow us on Instagram for more information.
