Our 3rd - 5th grade students will be participating in our yearly state testing (CMAS). It is incredibly important that your child:

Is at school daily

On time each day

Gets proper sleep

Eats breakfast (at home or school) 

Limits technology

CMAS Testing evaluates your child for their current level of knowledge.

It also helps determine school funding for Cowell the following school year. 

This is an incredibly important test for both your child and Cowell but we have lots of fun incentives to help keep your child motivated!

REMINDER: Our 5th graders will be taking their CMAS science tests on the following days. Attendance is a MUST!

Did you know that they make graphic novels - comic style books - that teach you about real world topics? Graphic novels are great for reluctant or struggling readers and teach new vocabulary! We have them for kids, teens, and adults! Librarian Charlotte recommends the nonfiction book "How to Be a Ladybug" by Laura Knowles! It's a fun way to learn about an insect species in a visual way. Perfect for ages 5-8.
