Testing and Culture Days Information

Moving forward, on testing days and culture days, students with C's and above have the opportunity to leave early and/or arrive at school after student support time.  In order to have your student excused, you will need to complete a paper form giving your student permission.  All other students will be required to stay unless you come pick them up on an early release day.

When these days occur, buses will run at normal time and we will communicate with you via the newsletter, social media, etc.  These forms are available in the main office for your student to pick up and bring home for you to sign.

No School Reminder

We will not have school on October 31st as this is a District Professional Development Day.

Halloween

Halloween is coming soon. Students can wear costumes on the 30th to school. Costumes must meet school dress code guidelines.

  • Masks and makeup cannot cover the face.

  • No fake weapons (guns, swords, etc).

  • Costumes must still allow students to move through hallways and sit in desks.

  • No references to alcohol, drugs, etc.

Attendance

We are currently below our school goal of 90% attendance.  We have noticed that our Friday attendance is 5% below our Wednesday attendance. Please support your students by making sure they are in school each Friday. Thanks for helping your student stay on track academically by being in school each day.

Bruce Randolph Thanksgiving Luncheon

Bruce will host Thanksgiving lunch for families again on Thursday, November 20th. You can come and join your student for lunch. We will provide up to  2 free meals. You must RSVP using this google form.

Phone Usage

Please have a conversation with your student about their electronics. Cell phones and headphones should not be seen during the school day. This includes in pockets. Students who are on their 2nd or greater offense will require that an adult come to collect it when they have to turn it in.

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat Street event is happening at East High School October 29th hosted by their DECA organization. They will have candy, games, music and more! Be sure to come dressed in a costume and enjoy getting to know people from all over the larger-Denver community. The event will be from 4 - 6 pm at East High School.

Chronic Absenteeism

Reminder, a student who is absent more than 10% of the school year is considered chronically absent, whether those absences are excused or not. If you have questions, we'd love to talk to you more.
