Thank you to all of the families that came out to conferences the past two weeks. If you were unable to attend, you can always reach out to your student's teacher directly or the main office to set up a time. We always want to grow in our collaboration with families.

This coming Wednesday our MS students will be completing their first interim assessment. This helps prepare students for their CMAS test in the spring, allows students to understand where they are at compared to their grade level peers and what they can grow in, and also helps us to understand opportunities to improve our instruction. Please help your student to get a good night's rest on Tuesday, be on time to school on Wednesday, and bring their charged chrome book and charger.

HS students will take the PSAT NMSQT test on Wednesday. This test allows students to be eligible for many scholarships and helps us set up a plan for students to show college and career readiness. Please make sure your student is on time Wednesday with their chrome book charged and their charger.

We are currently below our school goal of 90% attendance. We have noticed that our Friday attendance is 5% below our Wednesday attendance. Please support your students by making sure they are in school each Friday. Thanks for helping your student stay on track academically by being in school each day.

Reminder, a student who is absent more than 10% of the school year is considered chronically absent, whether those absences are excused or not. If you have questions, we'd love to talk to you more.

We’d like to invite you to attend our upcoming Community Organizations Meeting to learn more about the Triangle Community Vision Plan’s planning and engagement process.
The Mayor’s Office of the National Western Center would like to invite GES community organizations to join us for a meeting to learn more about the Triangle Community Vision Plan process and explore how your organization can support outreach to residents across Globeville, Elyria and Swansea. Community organizations are essential partners in helping ensure all voices are represented in shaping the future of The Triangle.
The Triangle @ NWC
Over the past year, the Mayor’s Office and National Western Center have been preparing for the future phases of the campus known as the Triangle. The process began with the Community Outreach Workgroup, a team of dedicated Globeville, Elyria and Swansea residents who helped identify the outreach and engagement strategy for the Triangle Community Vision Planning process. Their efforts resulted in an engagement plan that identified strategies, processes, best practices and outcomes, guided by four key goals:
GOAL 1 | Collaborative and Empowering Community Engagement
GOAL 2 | Support a Thriving, Connected and Resilient Community
GOAL 3 | Mechanisms + Structure for Community Voice and Shared Decision-Making
GOAL 4 | Transparent and Two-way Communications
Building on this foundation, the Triangle team will launch a planning and engagement process that not only addresses these goals, but plans for the facilities, land use, infrastructure, community ownership models and community benefit opportunities that will be part of the future of The Triangle.
The first step is to connect with GES community organizations and share the planning and engagement framework for the eighteen-month planning effort. At these meetings we will discuss ways we can work with organizations and residents to reach the broader community and conduct a collaborative planning process.
