BESS Survey

The BESS Parent Screener window is now OPEN! 📝

From now through April 10, families can complete the Behavioral and Emotional Screening System (BESS) survey to help support student well-being. Please take a few minutes to fill it out — your input makes a difference!

Attendance

Our attendance was down significantly in the month of February. Please encourage your student to be in school every day as we want to hit our 90% goal for the month of March. We are currently only at 83% for this month.  Help us finish the month strong. Huge shout-out to our 6th grade who is leading the middle school and our 12th grade that is leading the high school.

Bruce Randolph Athletics Shoutout

🎉 Student Spotlight: Celebrating Excellence! 🎉

We are proud to share some exciting news—this year’s DPS Outstanding Female Athlete for Bruce Randolph is Janeiry Madrid-Marquez!

Janeiry was honored alongside 13 other exceptional young women across the district, highlighting some of the top female student-athletes and celebrating both their high school achievements and future aspirations.

A dedicated member of the Bruce Randolph community since 6th grade, Janeiry has built an impressive athletic career. She played volleyball for three years in middle school and continued her success in high school as a four-time letter winner and All-Conference player. Her selection as Bruce Randolph’s Outstanding Female Athlete reflects not only her athletic excellence, but also her commitment to academics, her team, and her role in setting a positive standard for her peers.

Looking ahead, Janeiry is interested in pursuing a major in nursing, with hopes of beginning her career in ultrasound.

If you have a moment, please join us in congratulating Janeiry on this incredible accomplishment!

Saturday School

Saturday School will take place this Saturday, March 21 from 8:30am - 11:30am. There will not be Saturday school next week, we will resume on April 11. If your student is failing, please have them come to school as we want to make sure they are on-track for the remainder of the semester.

2030 Plan

As the district crafts its next Strategic Roadmap, they are creating a list of “Student Promises” and asking, “What are the things every student should be able to expect at their school?” We want to know what you believe should be true for every student so we can ensure DPS meets those expectations. If we deliver on those expectations, we know our students will be future ready.

Take the Strategic Roadmap Student Promises Survey by clicking the anonymous, single-use link you received from Sogolytics in the email aligned to the student portal. Help us refine what we promise to all students. The survey is open until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 29. It takes only 7-10 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential.
