Interim Testing - Feb. 11

Bruce Randolph students should make sure they are well rested prior to testing and they arrive with Chromebooks charged and ready to use. The school will use this data to learn more about how to get our students best prepared for end of year testing.

PSAT Testing

We will begin PSAT/SAT Practice Testing on Feb. 11. Bruce Randolph students should make sure they are well rested prior to testing and they arrive with Chromebooks charged and ready to use.

Attendance Update

89% of students have completed ACCESS testing! We will begin make-up testing on 1/23 with a goal of getting to 100% of students completed.

High School Reminders

We are kicking off our PSAT and SAT preparation plan. Please talk to your students about their progress on Khan Academy and how they're feeling about the upcoming assessments.

Senior Attendance

Both seniors and eighth graders must maintain at least 90% attendance during the second semester in order to participate in continuation and graduation. Families and students will receive a weekly email every Monday morning with updates.

For seniors enrolled in any Edgenuity courses, attendance at Saturday school is required until their course is completed. Your student will receive weekly reminders about Saturday school and their attendance.

Communication Notifications

Families, we are continually sending out notifications through texts, dialers, and emails. Please make sure your information is updated in your student's portal.  If you are not receiving communications from us, please reach out so that we can troubleshoot with you to ensure you are receiving information around your students attendance, grades, school activities, etc.

Welcome 6th Grade Language Arts Student Teacher!

We are excited to welcome Joshua Barringer to our sixth grade Language Arts team! Please check out his bio below to learn more about his background and journey to becoming an educator:

"My name is Joshua Barringer and I am from New Zion, South Carolina. I am a senior at MSU Denver and I am apart of a program called Call Me Mister, that is the reason I moved to Colorado. I went to a HBCU named South Carolina State University for my first two years and transferred to bring the Call Me Mister to MSU Denver. I am born and raised in the deep country and I went to a small school that was very family oriented, so I am huge on family. I come from a family of educators my mom and all 3 of my aunts were once educators. English was always my favorite subject growing up so I like to inspire that love for it as well with young students."

Pick-Up Reminder

Over the past few days, buses have been unable to access the back parking lot because cars have been blocking the area. Please remember that the back lot is reserved for buses and Hop Skip cars only. All other pick-ups should take place in the front of the school.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of our students and keep buses on schedule.

Thank you!
